In my last pillow review, I took a look at the Cool+ from Coop Sleep Goods. It was my first purchase from the brand, and I’m taking a look at its sister pillow, the Eden. I slept comfortably on the Cool+ for three months until my partner bought the Eden. When I felt the Eden’s plush pillow cover, I knew I had to try it too.

In the Box
Opening the Eden is similar to opening the Cool+, it comes vacuum-sealed and rolled in a bag along with the pillow cover and an extra half-pound of Oomph AC, the shredded memory foam in the Eden.

They recommend letting it sit to fluff up and air out. Similar to the Cool+, I let it sit out for the rest of the day and then hand fluffed it before bed, I slept on it that night.
Eden Features
The Eden pillow was Coop’s first “cooling” pillow (seems so silly to say after experiencing the Cool+).
Gel-Infused Memory Foam
The primary thing that makes the Eden cooling is its gel-infused memory foam. This foam is a little different from the Cool+ in that its white in color and has no uniform shape. You’ll also find the same microfiber mixed in with this foam. I find that the ratio of foam to microfiber is a little different in the Eden, with about 80% of it being foam and 20% of it being microfiber. It’s unclear whether this gel-infused foam is different than the gel-infused foam in the Cool+, aside from the color, of course.

Lulltra™ Outer Cover
The Eden includes a pillow cover made of Coop’s Lulltra™ fabric, a proprietary fabric that they describe as an elevated, machine-washable design that looks and feels crisp. This is what caught my attention when trying my partner’s pillow. Their Eden just felt so soft, which is saying a lot since I crafted my Cool+ to be very plush. The only thing that I could attribute it to was this different outer cover.

Fully Adjustable
Like all Coop pillows, the Eden is fully adjustable meaning that you can take out or add as much shredded memory foam that you need to reach your desired firmness or height.
Sleep Test
I had a great first week with this pillow, similarly, taking time to fine tune my desired amount of fill in it. There is not much to say here, it was that good. All of the problems of the Cool+ (slippery pillowcase, fill moving around) don’t exist at such an extent, or at all, with the Eden. If you’re a particularly chaotic sleeper, or someone who prefers a plush pillow like me, you may still experience fill moving around in this pillow. However, since this pillow cover isn’t slippery and this blend of fill includes a bit more microfiber, I find that that helps stabilize the fill more than the Cool+.
Final Thoughts
The Eden is a fantastic pillow. Is it better than the Cool+? In some ways, yes. It took over as my daily sleeper for an entire year until yet another bombshell entered the villa, more on that later.
Something I’ve noticed in my year of sleeping on the Eden is that I still experience some sort of tension or pressure-related headache after sleeping on it every once in awhile. This is something that I’ve experienced before on standard polyfill pillows along with the Cool+. I’m not sure why this occurs, but it’s something to note if you have head or neck issues.
As for the cooling properties, don’t count on it. I don’t find this to be cooling whatsoever, and would actually say it sleeps on the hotter side if I am running particularly hot on a given night. I don’t think it’s a hot pillow on principle; however, I would recommend grabbing a cooling pillowcase to put over the pillow cover if you’re prone to sleeping hot. Coop has one or you can check out the many other options out in the world.
Here’s my final pros and cons list for the Eden pillow from Coop Sleep Goods:
Pros of the Eden Pillow from Coop Sleep Goods
- Adjustable: You’re guaranteed to find your perfect fit.
- Quality: Like the Cool+, this pillow is well-made and feels luxurious.
- HSA/FSA Eligible: You’re able to use your HSA or FSA to get Coop pillows.
- Return Policy: If you buy directly from Coop’s site, you’ll have 100 days to try it out and get a full refund if you decide that it isn’t for you. Normal Amazon return policy will apply if you purchase on Amazon.
- Longevity: This pillow won’t go flat or clump-up like a standard pillow only filled with microfiber. I give this a fluff with my hands every few days and it’s as good as new.
Cons of the Eden Pillow from Coop Sleep Goods
- Expensive (but not as much as the Cool+): This pillow will cost you $105 for the queen-sized version. Watch out for sales!
You can click here for 20% off your purchase on Coop’s website. This isn’t an affiliate link where I will earn commission, but I will earn a few rewards points if you choose to use it. Speaking of, signing up for Coop’s rewards program could get you additional savings if you complete some of their sign-up activities to earn points. You can also buy on Amazon for the same price. - One Shape: The Cool+ had some additional space options (like cut outs, crescent-shaped, etc) if you’re into that. The Eden does not.
